Dive Industry Technician Course
The DITC Dive Industry Technician Course is a 10 day (ASSET / SITA / IDEST approved) program covering all aspects of service, repair and workshop operation.
The course has a 9-module curriculum supported by a Dive Industry Technicians Handbook. The training is designed to give as much emphasis on practical knowledge and skills with a large proportion of the course devoted to ‘hands on‘ practical work in a real scuba workshop. Syllabus Includes:
- Physics of diving related plant and equipment
- Regulator service and repair
- Equipment theory – design and construction
- Compressor, air banks – operation and air quality
- Setting up a professional workshop
- Warranties and customer care
- Working practices, standards and procedures
- Regulations and standards
- Cylinder testing
The training is conducted by an instructor with 25+ years of engineering and scuba repair experience.
