ANDI Cavern and Cave Diver Courses

Mermaids Dive Center Pattaya Thailand offer the ANDI range of technical cavern and cave dive courses. Cave training can take place in Thailand or even down into the Philippines. With many great caverns and diver caves in Thailand already - the diving is good and the cave diver training very solid. Recently (December 2007) Bruce has discovered further un-dived caves - he plans to change this.

The Cavern courses are taught in Pattaya and Thong Pom Pung = North Of Kanchanburi 120 km. The Cave Diver Courses of level 4 Koh Sak National Park (west of Koh Samui area). Level 5 is taught in Krabi and the surrounding area of Thailand.

The ANDI Cave and Cavern Diver Courses are:

SafeAir Cavern Diver course:

The Diver may use all Nitrox mixtures (to 50%) to 30m / 100fsw performing No-Deco-Required profiles with 2 cylinders and 2 gases, RBS (Redundant Breathing System), included, within the daylight zone of a cave entrance or cavern. Redundant Breathing System is required.

Cost of the course is 26,000 baht. If there are two students the cost of the course is 20,000 baht each. The length of the course is 5 days. One day classroom, one day boat and two days with 4 cavern dives.

Manuals, hotels and transportation to the cavern site are not included.

Cave course Level 3:

During the cave course level 3 you will go beyond the limits of the light zone. The depth limit to the cave course is 50 meter, decompression is limited to 30 minutes. During the cave diver course you will have one day classroom and will enjoy 8 cave dives with a limited bottom time of 240 minutes and 320 minutes run time. Full technical equipment will be used during this course.

The Dive Student must be TSD qualified and cavern qualified. Prices to be announced depending on location of the cave dive training. Price for this course is 31,000 baht if there are two students the cost is 26,000 baht each student - again depending on the diver training ground. This price does not include hotel rooms for the dive student. Tank and equipment rental not included.

Cave course level 4:

Cave penetration during this level of cave diving is unlimited. Full technical equipment will be used with a unlimited time of decompression (within planning). There will be a minimum of 180 minutes of bottom time and a minimum of 360 minutes run time during the 6 cave dives. Student must be level 3 cave qualified and also Extended Range diver qualified. Price for this course is 30,000 baht. This price does not include hotel rooms for student. Tank and equipment rental not included.

Cave course Level 5: 

Level 5 trimix cave course you will reach a depth of 58 meters using helium in your gas mixes. There are a total of 4 tri-mix cave dives with a minimum of 150 minutes of bottom time and 240 minutes of run time. Student Pre-requisites: CAV + TMD + 200 dives + 50 deco dives + 25 cave dives. The cost is 29,000 baht excluding equipment, tanks, helium and rooms.

Cavern level 2 and cave level 3 combined:

Both the level 2 and level 3 cavern diving courses can be combined in one trip. The cost for the both is 49,000 baht. This does not include rooms, tanks or equipment rental.
